"Lightning" by Danielle Steel.

Posted on 07:24 by brend hordy
Hello readers, today im going to introduce you to yet another Danielle Steel novel, this one is called Lightning, i am personally reading this book right now. I have not yet finished it, almost done. But i wanted to share this novel with you now. It is a wonderful love story, and about how a woman tries to live through this illness without her husband. There is heartbreak, and tragedy but i can assure you wont be dissapointed. Read this book, if anyone has ever read Danielle Steel you will know what I'm talking about, when i say her novels are truly inspiring.

As a partner at one of New York's most prestigious law firms, Alexandra Parker barely manages to juggle husband, career, and the three-year-old child she gave birth to at forty. But Alex feels blessed with her life and happy marriage--until lightning strikes her. Suddenly a routine medical check-up turns her world upside down when tests reveal shattering news.
Sam Parker is a star venture capitalist, a Wall Street whiz kid, and is as proud of his longtime marriage to Alex as he is of his successful career. As a major player in New York's financial world, Sam is used to being in control--until he is caught off guard by Alex's illness. Terrified of losing his wife and family, and haunted by ghosts from his past, Sam is unable to provide any kind of emotional support to Alex.
Unable to cope with her needs, Sam takes his distance from her, and almost overnight she and Sam become strangers. As lightning strikes them yet again, Sam's promising career suddenly explodes in disaster, and his very life and identity are challenged. With their entire future hanging in the balance, Alex must decide what she feels for Sam, if life will ever be the same for them again, or if she must move on without him.
What happens to people when every aspect of their lives and well-being is threatened? In "Lightning," Danielle Steel tells the story of a family thrust into uncertainty and explores whether the bonds of love and marriage can withstand life's most unexpected bolts of lightning.

7. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

Posted on 08:43 by brend hordy
The book Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is probably one of my most favorite love story of all time. You can't help but laugh at the tension and the hatred that the two characters Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. But in the end love wins all ! The book is written in an older language that few use today, so unless you readers dont understand prodigious words i suggest you don't read this book. It;s not quite like Shakespear, but its the next thing to it. There's is also a movie that is actually pretty close to the book, i like the move because the actors that play the characters are almost exact. I would suggest the movie with Keira Knightly who plays Elizabeth Bennet, that's the movie i seen, i have not seen the other one so i cannot give you my imput on that one. I will post the trailer of the movie on my blog.

Here is a Brief Summary.

Elizabeth Bennet, who is a witty and independent young girl, lives in England with her four sisters, her mother, and her father. When Mr. Bingley, a handsome, rich, young bachelor, arrives to stay briefly in Hartfordshire (where the Bennets live), Mrs. Bennet immediately tries to get one of her daughters to marry him. Bingley is a charming young man and quickly falls in love with the eldest Bennet sister, the beautiful Jane. It is a guarded relationship, so Jane and Bingley don't express outright their mutual feelings for each other, though Bingley obviously shows favor to Jane. Meanwhile, Bingley's proud friend Darcy meets Elizabeth. Elizabeth loathes Mr. Darcy, and avoids him as much as possible. Though Darcy is proud and reserved at first, it becomes obvious of his fondness for Elizabeth. Convention, however, restricts his affection for her, seeing as he is rich and high on the social ladder, and Elizabeth comes from a middle-class family.

6. Accident by Danielle Steel

Posted on 07:15 by brend hordy

Summary- Accident is a powerful and ultimately triumphant novel of lives shattered and changed by one devastating moment.

Although frequent business meetings keep her husband, Brad, away from home, Page Clarke feels blessed with her happy family and comfortable marriage. They have a house near San Francisco and she keeps busy looking after their seven-year-old son, Andy, and their teenage daughter, Allyson.

Allyson, at fifteen, is trying her wings and one weekend, instead of an evening with her friend Chloe, the girls lie and go out with two older high school boys. But a Saturday night that was supposed to be fun ends in tragedy when their car collides head-on with another.

At the hospital, Page finds Chloe's divorced father, Trygve, and, unable to locate Brad, she leans on his strength throughout the the long hours of tormenting questions. Will Allyson live? Will any of them? Were the teenagers drinking? Using drugs? Who was at fault? And where is her husband? Without Brad by her side Page feels her life start to come apart as she is forced to confront the fact that Allyson may not live, and if she does, she may never be the same again.

In an inspiring novel that explores how many people are affected by one tragic accident and how they survive it, Danielle Steel brings us close to the characters whose lives are as familiar as our own... and who live, as we all do, in a world where everything can change in a single moment

I highly reccomend this book to people like me that enjoy, a long novel. On love and pain. I just finished this book myself and i loved it. The description my look drawling, but it is really a fantastic book that everyone should read.

No Greater Love- By Danielle Steel

Posted on 07:05 by brend hordy

Today I want to talk about a novel that I enjoy reading. It's a novel that I can never stop reading. It's by Danielle Steel, its called No Greater Love. Its a story about the Winfield family and their adventure. The beginning of the novel takes place on the Titanic, now we all know about the "unsinkable" ship, yes this the exact one taking place in this novel. Now the Winfield family are aboard this cruise unfortunately. The oldest sibling 20-year-old Edwina enjoys her engagement to Charles Fitzgerald and she is surrounded by her parents Kate and Bert, her brothers George and Teddy, Phillip and younger sister Alexis, who is celebrating her sixth birthday. One night, the ship hits an iceberg and soon starts to sink. While heading to the life boats to safety the family panics when Alexis is nowhere to be found. Kate convinces Edwina to go into a boat with Teddy and stays behind herself to look for Alexis. After the sinking, Edwina is able to lift George from the water and they are eventually saved by RMS Carpathia. Edwina, George and Teddy soon find out that Alexis has survived the disaster, and so did Phillip, but that their parents and Charles didn't. Now this sounds like a sad story, and it is. For its very terrible that happened to them, but the story gets better. The Winfield family relies on their love for each other to get through life. There are bumps along the way and trouble, but they always come together again. I warn you that the novel Is quite long but worth it, I try to make it last as long as possible. The story has lots of detail, Alexis the little girl who's six in the beginning is seventeen in the end of the book. But I strongly encourage you to read this novel, it's a tragic love story.

Stephen King's-Carrie

Posted on 08:07 by brend hordy

Carrie

Now we all know of the horrific and intriguing stories, of the well known author Steven King, Who has written and published many top selling books, and have been made into top box office movies. Such as. The Green mile, Cujo, Pet semetary, Stand By Me, and Carrie. I want to talk about the book Carrie, the horrific talk of a teenage girl, raised in a religious home, being harassed and bullied all her life. But it's senior year, and Carrie is more of an outcast then ever, until she realizes she has telekinetic powers. When someone tries to pull a prank on her at the prom...it's everyone's worst nightmare. This story is filled with horror, suspense, that will make your jaw drop. Its also a terrifying movie, there's one made from the 1970's and a modern version. I'd suggest either one. But i reccomend reading the book first. The book is usually better than the movie, remember that !                          The book.
                                                                                                                         The 2002 Carrie film.

The 1970 Carrie film.

3. Readers ! Read this book Highly Reccomended by many people, including me !

Posted on 07:07 by brend hordy
Hello readers. Today i shall be writing about a highly famous novel that i'm sure most of you know or have heard of, is "To Kill A Mocking Bird". It was published in 1960, by Harper Lee. It was soon an immediate success for it won Pulitzer Prize. It has become part of modern American literature. It is based on the perspective of a ten year old girl, on an event that happened in her hometown in the 1930's, and also her observations on her neighbors. The novel is known for its humor and sense of family, despite the serious issues involved with rape and racial problems. The narrators father Atticus Finch, is said to be the father to have. He has a kind a gentle heart that readers enjoy. He is also strict when necessary, he has become an inspiration to many lawyers. Readers please read this book ! If you love heart-warming, drama books, you will LOVE this book !

BookWorms- How it was made.

Posted on 07:36 by brend hordy
Why did i create Bookworms online ? Simple answer, i love to read. Books,( for anyone that understands this) usually calms people down, like me. Getting a good book allows your imagination to roam, with the words flowing and creating imagery in your mind.  Most people these days don't read as much anymore, since the new generation of technology has come out. But, some people today still value and treasure books. I made this blog for people like me. That enjoy books and love to read. People today even use the technology we have to read a book. Books are really helpful (or they were). But its mostly the elder that read books now. Teenagers are said to be the ones that read the less, sometimes that's true, and sometimes its not. I am a teenager and i read all the time.

That doesn't make me or others that read lower on the social?popularity scale. Some people look at people who read all the time and judge ! They think they're nerdy or weird. Not true, we bookworms still get out there and fun. But when we are mellowing out we like to read a good book instead of playing with technology, sometimes. But more and more people who are being drawn to the new technology are no longer, reading. People need to remember that we used to have to rely on books to get our information. So if it wasn't for people recording down their thoughts, writing down what happened in history. We wouldn't have today's information for our homework etc.. So for people reading this or my blog take a look at the highly reccomended books i have on my page. Try reading one of them, and if they're not for you that's okay. I didn't say reading was for everyone
